Configure Microsoft Outlook Express for your email account

Email
  1. Launch Outlook Express and then select Tools > Accounts.
     
  2. Click the Add button and select Mail.
     
  3. Enter your desired Display Name, the name that will appear when others receive your email. Click Next.
     
  4. Enter your Email Address and click Next.
     
  5. - Select IMAP or POP3 as desired for the My incoming mail server is a ... server dropdown.

    - Enter the incoming mail server name into Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server field.
     
    - Enter the outgoing mail server name into Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field.
      
    Click Next.
     
  6. For Account Name field, enter your full email address, and please enter your email account password into the Password field. Tick the Remember Password check box for your convenience. Click Next.
     
  7. Click the Finish button to exit the wizard.
     
  8. You can see the newly created account in the Internet Accounts window. Highlight it, and then click the Properties button.
     
  9. On the newly opened window, click the Servers tab.
     
  10. Tick the check box My server requires authentication, and then click the Settings button.
     
  11. Select the radio button Use same settings as my incoming mail server, and then click the OK button.
     
  12. Click the Advanced tab at the top.

    - Enter 587 for the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field.
     
    - Enter 143 for IMAP, or 110 for POP3, for the Incoming mail field.
     
    - Click the OK button to complete.
